Accommodations for foreign minors and adults are an important part of Terremondo’s work, in collaboration with ASAI, the Prefecture, the Diocese, and various local authorities in Turin and the surrounding areas. In addition to the focus on the individual, the dialogue with the local areas is central in order to foster a community-wide effort and subsequent avenues towards social and occupational inclusion at the end of the experience in the center.
There have been countless experiences over time, from the first shelters in 2015 that hosted hundreds of minors and adults with differentiated paths to social inclusion. This was followed by the opening of shelters for asylum seekers previously housed in the former MOI buildings, in collaboration with parishes, and channels for the education and reception of refugee minors, such as in the Pagelle in tasca (report card in his pocket) project promoted by INTERSOS.
