Gruppo giovani

Every day at ASAI, dozens of young people are engaged in the field of interculturalism.

The ASAI youth group began in 2021, and its driving force has been the desire for participation and activation in the local area and beyond. The group, open to people aged 18 to 40, periodically meets at ASAI offices to meet, discuss, plan, and self-educate, choosing the topics of interest together.

On Migrant Routes

Our journey
on the Path of Human Mobility

Over the course of 2022-2023, the group addressed the issue of human mobility in our country through meetings with other institutions already working at the borders, activism experiences at facilities and with other associations, training given by first-hand witnesses, and peer-to-peer exchanges.

A Day at the Border – Oulx

In November 2022, accompanied and guided by associations such as ASCS and MEDU, the youth group closely examined the impact that inter-state power plays have on the lives of people already vulnerable after months or years on the road and from the harsh conditions of their departure.

In the Shoes of Migrants

The Game is a role-playing game created by the association Più Ponti Meno Muri (More Bridges Less Walls). It puts players in the shoes of migrants as they move on the chessboard of the Balkan route, between borders, traffickers, and choices to be made

On Duty in Ventimiglia

Three days in close contact with the French-Italian border for hands-on involvement in the distribution of meals, clothing, and medicine, the dissemination of information for crossing the border, and moments of leisure with migrants forced to stay for weeks under the highway bridge.

Do you want to participate?

If you are between 18 and 40 years old and you are a volunteer, an educator, a friend of the association, or you are interested in the youth group, you can participate in the events organized by the different ASAI offices or propose themes and gatherings by writing to info@asai.it
